The PRN Advantage

PRN Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals® was founded on the idea that a superior nutriceutical product line, endorsed by leading physicians and delivered to patients in a convenient way could significantly support eye health. The impressive body of support in the use of omega-3s is inspiring, but unfortunately, not all omega-3 products are the same. At PRN, we are committed to providing you with the purest and safest nutriceuticals helping you to lead a happier and healthier life.

Superior Formulations

PRN omega-3 products contain a concentrated amount of both EPA and DHA. At PRN, our omega-3 products are in a cleaned triglyceride form. Many other brands of Omega-3 products are low quality, unpurified, or are sold in a synthetic, ethyl ester form. This form, which is more difficult to absorb, can leave a fishy odor or after-taste. It could take up to 40 softgels of those to equal the same benefits found in just three softgels of PRN’s products.

Not All Omega-3s are Created Equally

Over half a million customers have trusted their eyes to PRN products

Many store-bought omega-3s are in a synthetic (ester) or unpurified form, which is difficult to absorb and leaves a fishy odor/aftertaste. PRN Omega-3s are in an ultra purified triglyceride (rTG) form, which is a similar form to a piece of fish, but without the impurities. This form is easier for your body to absorb and micro-distilled to remove contaminants like PCBs, lead, mercury and more. PRN omega-3s are manufactured in a NSF® and cGMP facility.

Omega-3 products that you typically find on the shelf come in various formulations:

Unpurified
Native Oil

This oil is pressed directly from the fish so it is in the well-absorbed triglyceride form. Unfortunately, because it is unpurified, it still may have toxins like PCBs and dioxins typically found in larger fish.

Ethyl Ester
Based Omega-3s

Many manufacturers chemically remove the toxins from the native oil, and as a result convert the omega-3s to an ethyl ester form. Though the product is free of toxins, it is now poorly absorbed and may require as many as 40 capsules to equal the benefit of three PRN softgels.

Re-Esterified
Triglyceride Form
Omega-3s

PRN continues the process to one more step. By removing the alcohol (ester) the omega-3s are then in cleaned triglyceride form after the toxins have been removed, the final purified product is more easily absorbed by the body and does not have the fishy odor or after-taste observed in the other forms.
